SDF seizes quantities of pipes intended for smuggling fuel into Damascus government areas

Within the framework of the operation to enhance security and stability launched by the Syrian Democratic Forces in Deir ez-Zor and to combat corruption and eliminate the phenomenon of smuggling, the Syrian Democratic Forces were able to seize quantities of plastic pipes intended for smuggling fuel into areas controlled by the Damascus government.

As part of its ongoing campaigns to combat smuggling, the Syrian Democratic Forces, during their regular tours of the river crossings connecting NE,Syria and the areas of the Damascus government forces, were able to seize quantities of pipes intended for smuggling fuel towards the areas of the Damascus government.

Commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Raman Hasakah, said that the areas targeted by their forces as part of the campaign to control smuggling in the western countryside of Deir ez-Zor are the areas of Al-Jeneina, Al-Hasan, Muhaymida, Al-Zughayr, Al-Kubar, and Al-Harmoushiya, in addition to the area of Jdeid Bakara, the area of Jadeed Agidat, Dhiban, Abu Hamam, Gharanij, and Al-Baghouz in eastern countryside.

He added: "All of these areas are located on the river bed, and they were supplying pipes in various places in these areas, but with the efforts of our forces, we were able to seize these pipes and were able to arrest many smugglers and hand them over to justice."
