SDF repel Turkish occupation attacks around Qereqozaqê Bridge

The SDF Media Center issued a statement today addressing the Turkish occupation’s attacks and the SDF’s response. The statement reads as follows:

"On Monday, the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation launched several attacks on our forces' positions around Qereqozaqê Bridge, but all were successfully repelled by our fighters.

The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries carried out intense and indiscriminate shelling using heavy artillery, tanks, rocket launchers, and mortars on the villages of Tina, Jada, Bir Hasso, Ghasaq, Deikan, Malha, Qalhayda, and Sana’, as well as the Sifi and Qereqozaqê hills near Qereqozaqê Bridge. More than 60 shells were fired, causing significant material damage to civilians' homes and properties.

Under the cover of this brutal bombardment, the occupation’s mercenaries launched an attack on our forces' positions. Our fighters engaged them in fierce clashes, resulting in the killing of several mercenaries and the confirmed injury of three others. The Martyr Haroun Unit also took part in repelling the attack and managed to damage a heavy military vehicle belonging to the mercenaries.

Our fighters thwarted a second attack by the mercenaries on another front around the bridge, where additional mercenaries were killed and wounded, though the exact number remains unconfirmed.

On the Ain Issa front, the Turkish occupation and its mercenaries shelled the village of Abu Surra, west of the town, with heavy artillery, causing material damage to civilians' homes and properties. Meanwhile, Turkish drones were spotted flying over the town and its countryside throughout the day.

Additionally, Turkish drones continued flying over the city of Kobani and its countryside yesterday."
