SDF General Command praises US strikes against ISIS

In a statement issued at dawn today to public opinion, the General Command of the SDF addressed the recent US strikes targeting ISIS hideouts in Syria.

The General Command expressed its deep appreciation to US forces and the International Coalition for the precise aerial and missile strikes that targeted ISIS mercenary hideouts in Syria over the past hours. It affirmed that “this continued air support represents a decisive factor in preventing the organization from regrouping its cells or restoring its sabotage activities.”

The statement added: “Experience has proven that the war on terrorism cannot stop or slow down. ISIS still poses a direct threat to the security and stability of the region and seeks to exploit any vacuum or laxity in military and security efforts. Therefore, we emphasize the importance of continuing joint operations until the complete elimination of the organization and its capabilities.”

The General Command of the SDF confirmed that during the current year, its forces have carried out hundreds of security and military operations against ISIS cells, successfully arresting dangerous leaders and dismantling active groups with direct support from the International Coalition, whether through air support or intelligence sharing. This joint coordination and exchange of information has proven effective and demonstrated that effective partnership is the only way to remove the threat.

The Syrian Democratic Forces renewed their full commitment to continuing the fight against ISIS, defending stability, protecting civilians, and developing cooperation with all parties combating “terrorism” in a manner that serves the security of the region and the world.

US Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced that American forces carried out an operation dubbed “Falcon Eye Strike” in Syria to eliminate ISIS mercenaries and their infrastructure, in response to the attack that targeted US forces on December 13 in the city of Palmyra.
