SDF: Damascus, international powers responsible for fighters' safety in east Aleppo

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) confirmed that the mercenaries of the Syrian Interim Government violated the agreement regarding eastern Aleppo, and attacked its forces, and that a number of its fighters are besieged in the cities of Deir Hafer and Maskana, holding Damascus and international powers responsible for their safety and security.

The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) Media Center issued a statement to the public opinion regarding the treachery of the Syrian Interim Government's mercenaries, explaining, "As a result of the Damascus government's treachery and its violation of the internationally sponsored agreement, groups of our fighters remain besieged in the towns of Deir Hafer and Maskana, despite the agreement stipulating a 48-hour deadline for our forces to withdraw. However, the Damascus government violated the agreement, and attacked our fighters using tanks."

The SDF held the Syrian Interim Government and the international powers sponsoring the agreement fully responsible, stating, "We hold the Damascus government and the international powers sponsoring the agreement fully responsible for the safety and lives of our besieged fighters, and we emphasize the necessity of guaranteeing their safe passage, along with their weapons, to areas in North and East Syria."
