SDF arrest cell planning attacks in Deir ez-Zor countryside

The Media Center of the Syrian Democratic Forces announced, through its official page, that their military operations teams had arrested a cell that was planning to carry out attacks against civilian institutions and military forces.

The statement stated the following:

"On Thursday, January 23, the military operations teams (TOL) affiliated with our forces, the Syrian Democratic Forces, carried out a security operation in the eastern countryside of Deir ez-Zor, aimed at dismantling a cell linked to remnants of the Ba'ath regime and the National Defense mercenaries. This cell was working to create sedition and spread chaos, in addition to carrying out attacks against our forces and civilian institutions.

The operation took place after tracking and investigating the members of the cell. After our forces completed gathering information about the cell's activities and movements, they were able to identify their hiding places, imposed a security cordon around them, and successfully arrested four members.

Our forces affirm that they will not tolerate anyone attempting to undermine the security and stability of our regions, and will strike with a firm grip against anyone who dares to spread chaos, confusion, and target civil peace in the area.”
