SDC congratulates Christians on Easter, emphasizes coexistence, diversity in Syria

The Syrian Democratic Council (SDC) extended its congratulations to Christians on the occasion of Easter, affirming that religious diversity constitutes a fundamental pillar for building a state based on justice and equal citizenship in Syria.

Today, the SDC issued a statement marking Easter, in which it offered its greetings to members of Christian communities in Syria and around the world.

In its statement, the Council stressed that this occasion embodies renewed light and hope, as well as the values of peace, life, and tolerance, noting that it aligns with Syrians’ aspirations for a future founded on justice and stability.

It further highlighted that Syria’s religious and cultural diversity represents a genuine source of richness, strengthened by the cohesion and solidarity of its components in facing challenges, and serves as a key foundation for building a nation grounded in equal citizenship and mutual respect among all its constituents.

The Council also expressed hope that this occasion would contribute to enhancing a sense of reassurance across the country, and that Syrians would enjoy a state that upholds justice and preserves the dignity of its citizens.
