Scholars, clerics: Turkey's attacks aim to displace residents, occupy Syrian lands

The Turkish occupying state continues its attacks on the cities and towns of the North and East Syria region, targeting unarmed civilians and infrastructure under the pretext of protecting its national security and borders. 

 The Syrian Democratic Forces are confronting these attacks on all fronts in the regions of North and East Syria, in the Euphrates and Jazira cantons, where they have inflicted heavy losses on the enemy in terms of lives and equipment.

 Scholars and clerics in al-Raqqa canton emphasized the necessity of solidarity among the components of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria to repel these attacks.

 The head of the Fatwa Committee at the Religious Affairs Institution in al-Raqqa canton, Sheikh Mohammad Yahya Abu al-Bara, told ANHA's agency: "As preachers and imams of mosques, we want the Syrian people to live in safety and to return to their former glory, as loving brothers."

 Sheikh Abu al-Bara emphasized the need to stop intra fighting Syrians among themselves, as both humans and stones have grown weary of the bloodshed on this land where the blood of children, women, and the elderly has been shed.

 Sheikh Abu al-Bara pointed out the attacks carried out by some people and parties on these areas, and said that if we return to the saying of the Prophet, peace be upon him, "Man is the structure of God on His earth; cursed is he who destroys the structure of God," when we want to build nations, we start by building man because man is the center of life.

 The sanctity of human blood is greater to God than the destruction of the Kaaba.

 Sheikh Muhammad Yahya pointed out that the sanctity of human blood is greater in the sight of God than the destruction of the Kaaba, citing the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him: "The destruction of the Kaaba stone by stone is less significant in the sight of God than the shedding of a single drop of a Muslim's blood." So, what about killing a person whom God has honored and exalted? Why should their blood be shed on this earth?

 Sheikh Muhammad Yahya noted: "So when these shells fall on these people who are safe in their homes, what do they do in this cold winter?" They will be displaced, for whatever affects any region in Syria should cause the entire Syria to suffer because Syria is like

 a single body. As the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The believers in their mutual love, mercy, and compassion are like

 one body; when one part of it feels pain, the whole body responds with sleeplessness and fever."

 In his turn, the head of the Religious Affairs Institution in al-Raqqa, Sheikh Ibrahim al-Awais, said: "In these days that we are going through, we send a message to our people in Syria in general, and we tell them that this new page should be a page of tolerance, love, and forgiveness, a page that unites all components and factions."

 Sheikh Ibrahim al-Awais added: "Our message as imams and preachers to our people in Syria is in the words of Allah Almighty: 'And hold firmly to the rope of Allah all together and do not become divided. And remember the favor of Allah upon you when you were enemies and He brought your hearts together and you became, by His favor, brothers.'"

 Al-Awais continued: "This is God's message to all of us, and we must keep it in our sights so that we can uplift a nation that thrives, excels, and flourishes with good morals, allowing the children of this nation to live in peace and prosperity from all its components."

 Al-Awais condemned the attacks by the Turkish occupying state and the mercenaries who support them in killing our people, and we demand the cessation of these attacks.

 At the end of his speech, Sheikh Ibrahim al-Awais said: "We should work with our minds, not our muscles. On any issue we disagree on, there should be a fair dialogue for all the people of Syria, without distinction. This is what is needed, not the language of killing and destruction that Turkey seeks to use to fragment the Syrian people and occupy our land."
