Russian authorities announced Wednesday that Ukrainian drone attacks overnight damaged a grain facility, a school, homes, and a sports complex in the Rostov region of southern Russia, on the border with Ukraine.

The Russian Defense Ministry stated in a Telegram post that its units destroyed up to 40 Ukrainian drones overnight over several Russian regions and Crimea. Seven drones were shot down over the Rostov region.

Rostov Governor Yuri Slyusar said on Telegram that there were no casualties in the airstrikes, but the attack caused a fire at a sports complex and damaged a high school and two residential buildings in the city of Taganrog.

Several unofficial Russian and Ukrainian Telegram channels reported a possible drone attack on Russia's Atlant-Aero drone facility in Taganrog.

Alexander Gusev, the governor of Russia's Voronezh region, said on Telegram that more than 40 drones were destroyed over urban areas and near the border with Ukraine on Tuesday, with no casualties.
