Roads blocked in rural Hasaka in protest against deteriorating living conditions

For the second day in a row, a group of residents of the village of Daibel, located south of Hasaka Governorate, continue to block one of the main roads in the region in protest against what they described as poor service and living conditions.

Residents of the village of Daibel, in the town of Al-Arisha in the southern countryside of Hasaka Governorate, blocked a road in the area for the second day in a row, in a protest demanding improved basic services and living conditions.

A video circulating on social media showed protesters preventing tankers carrying crude oil from entering Syria by burning tires and placing obstacles on the main road, in an attempt to draw attention to their demands.

According to local sources, the price of a single water tanker has risen to approximately 150,000 Syrian pounds, while the price of a liter of gasoline has reached about 16,000 pounds, coinciding with the closure of several bakeries.

It is worth noting that residents of Daibel and the neighboring village of Al-Bureij also held a demonstration yesterday, during which they blocked main roads to protest the deteriorating living conditions and services.
