Writer: Dialogue between DAA, Damascus Government will limit foreign interference
Writer and journalist Jamil Rashid stressed that the entry of the Democratic Autonomous Administration and the Damascus government into dialogue and reaching an agreement will limit foreign interference; it will solve the economic problems and begin the process of rebuilding Syria.
As the Syrian crisis enters its 14th year, and with the continued interference of many international and regional powers in the country's internal affairs, the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria continues to call on the Damascus government to engage in dialogue; to save the country and its people from the vortex that is raging.
On the importance of dialogue between the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria and the Damascus government for the future of Syria, in addition to knowing the reasons for its failure, ANHA's agency met with the Syrian writer and journalist Jamil Rashid.
Jamil Rashid said: "In fact; dialogue, as is known, takes place between two parties, and when the two parties are serious about this dialogue, it is necessary not to set preconditions to reach the desired goals."
Enabling dialogue is a demand of all Syrians
Rashid pointed out that there are vague points in dealing with the initiative of the Autonomous Administration by the Damascus government, and stated that the Democratic Autonomous Administration, in its first initiatives in 2018, called for working to open the closed doors of dialogue, which showed positive reactions among the popular circles throughout Syria, in the hope of ending the crisis that has been ongoing for more than 13 years.
Rashid stressed that the Autonomous Administration and the Damascus government have the ability to achieve this rapprochement due to the availability of all political and military components. He also criticized the positions of the Damascus government towards the current events, and accused it of closing the doors of dialogue and insisting on returning the situation to what it was before 2011, as if nothing had happened.
Rashid noted: "The first step that will result from the agreement of the two parties through dialogue is the liberation of the occupied areas from terrorism represented by the mercenaries of the Turkish occupation and the arms of al-Qaeda in Idlib, and will lead to the establishment of a unified Syria, taking into account the specificity of each region. This will be done by relying on the principle of decentralization and working within the framework of an agreed-upon social contract that guarantees the rights of all groups and components, and limits the interference of external parties in the country's crisis."
The positives and obstacles of the dialogue between the Damascus government and the DAA.
As for what the start of the dialogue and the agreement of the two parties will bring, the Syrian writer and journalist Jamil Rashid said that the economic problems will be solved, and accordingly the process of rebuilding Syria will begin, and the project of the democratic self-administration will be closely identified.
Rashid explained that external parties do not want to conduct a dialogue between the Democratic Autonomous Administration and the Damascus government, and he sees difficulty in that, and said, "It may be difficult to achieve because of the fear of external parties for their interests from the success of the self-administration; therefore, they work by all means to thwart all attempts."
"Russia exports the Ukrainian crisis and bargains over the Syrian territory"
As for Lavrov's recent statements regarding the Autonomous Administration, he described them as a reaction, as a result of Russia reaching a "severe crisis in Ukraine", and noted that they indicate that Russia will work by all possible means to export its crisis in Russia to all countries in which it is present, most notably Syria.
He said about the repercussions of such statements on the country and the Syrians: "This language used strengthens the hand of the Turkish occupation state, and this is unacceptable; because it is bargaining at the expense of the Syrian people to ensure its interests."
Jamil stressed that all the meetings with their various summits; from Astana, Sochi and Geneva, which did not include the presence of the real representatives of the people, led to the division of the country between its sponsors intervening in the Syrian crisis, through many plans, the latest of which was the "De-escalation zones".
The writer and journalist, Jamil Rashid, noted that the entry of the two parties (the Democratic Autonomous Administration and the Damascus government) into dialogue and reaching an agreement will limit Russian and other interference and curb its control over the joints of government. Accordingly, the only path available to Damascus for the future of Syria is to follow the path of the announced dialogue with the Democratic Autonomous Administration.
