Residents of Jil Agha city in al-Jazira Canton expressed their deep appreciation for the historic resistance shown by the people of Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh, and Bani Zaid in Aleppo, and their firm rejection of the attacks being carried out against residential areas.

Citizen Yafa Shandi stated that the resistance of the residents of Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh, and Bani Zaid, along with the Internal Security Forces in confronting the attacks, marked a turning point in the course of popular struggle. She said it sent a clear message that the will of peoples is capable of withstanding even the most severe assaults.

She described it as a resistance of honor and dignity, as it presented a genuine model of popular steadfastness and an unconquerable will to defend the land.

She added that what occurred in these neighborhoods proved that the unity of the people and the organization of their ranks alongside their forces is the fundamental factor in protecting society and defending its gains with a spirit of responsibility and courage, reaching the level of sacrifice and selflessness in order to preserve the achievements made by the martyrs.

Yafa Shandi stressed that the current phase is one of the most sensitive stages, amid attempts by the Turkish occupation, through its proxies, to destabilize the region. This, she said, requires strengthening the spirit of collective responsibility, organizing popular ranks, and adhering to the values of solidarity and unity to protect and defend the region.

For her part, Zainab Rashid said that the resistance of Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh is a sacred resistance that carries messages of steadfastness, sacrifice, and selflessness for the sake of land and existence.

She affirmed that it has become a legacy and a foundation for resistance and struggle, noting that residents will organize themselves according to this approach to protect their land and gains achieved through the blood of thousands of their sons.

She added that protecting society can only be achieved through the awareness and organization of its people, pointing out that the current stage requires greater effort, unity, and cohesion around the Syrian Democratic Forces and the Internal Security Forces to preserve civil peace and human dignity.

In turn, Majed Nasser recalled the martyrs of the resistance of the era, stating that the resistance of Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh, and Bani Zaid was a historic stand against dark forces and the plans of the Turkish occupation, which sought to incite sectarianism and forced displacement in order to undermine the project of brotherhood among peoples.

Majed condemned the attacks carried out by these mercenaries on residential areas in an attempt to pressure residents and force them to flee their homes.

He emphasized that this resistance underscored the necessity of organizing popular ranks to confront violence and terrorism targeting the peoples of the region, and to protect the existence and gains achieved through the blood of the martyrs.
