Religious figures: Innovation and diligence necessary need to deter extremist ideas

Religious figures who participated in the third conference of the Democratic Islam Conference in the NE Syria, affirmed that Islam is a religion of love and friendship, and stressed the necessity of following the approach of democratic Islam.

Head of the Aal al-Bayt League office in Tabqa, Adnan Aliwi, pointed out that democratic Islam embodies moderation, and expresses the segments of a united society with all its sects and components. He said: “Democratic Islam was taken from the Medina Charter,which the Prophet adopted when he migrated from Mecca to Medina, where he laid down provisions for peaceful coexistence and spreading the culture of peace and coexistence among all peoples, beliefs and religions.”

As for the head of the religious institution in Tabqa Canton, Abdul Muttalib Al-Mutran, he stressed that democratic Islam is a religion of love and friendship, a religion of brotherhood and partnership, and respects all sects and beliefs.

While the official of curricula and education at the Democratic Islam Conference in the city of Tirbespiyê, Sulaiman Ahmed Ali, pointed out that innovation and diligence are a very urgent and important need in NE Syria, and he said: “In order to bridge the distortion caused by extremist ideas and ISIS, there is a need for the emergence of a new outlook, which is to diligence and innovation serve society and peoples, especially women, who have their place within society.”

Avin Al-Hajji, who was elected at the third conference as co-chair of the Democratic Islam Conference in North and East Syria, demonstrated that the Islamic religion has an effective role in building a moral and political society and developing solutions to Middle East issues, through the principle of diligence and renewal, which contributes in one way or another.

As for the representative of the Zoroastrian religion in NE Syria, Hoda Sheikh Mous, she blessed the holding of the third conference of the Democratic Islam Conference for the Islamic Society, and pointed out that the slogan of Innovation is the main gateway to resolving Middle East issues.

She said: “These principles exist within all religions, especially the Zoroastrian religion that calls for them, which are the presence of good thought, good speech, and good deeds, and when we are disciplined with this earthly holy trinity, we will be builders on this earth.”

Yesterday, Sunday, the Democratic Islam Conference held its conference under the slogan “Innovation and diligence the gateways to the solution to Middle East issues,” with the participation of 450 members, in the city of Qamishlo.
