Raqqa Sheikhs: our demand is to achieve leader's physical freedom
Sheikhs and dignitaries of the Raqqa region and its residents affirmed the continuation of the struggle to end the system of torture and extermination imposed on leader Abdullah Ocalan.
The Turkish occupying state continues to impose a system of torture and extermination on leader Abdullah Ocalan, under the name of imposing "disciplinary sanctions," the latest of which was on October 16 of last month, for a period of 3 months.
The people of Raqqa, along with the sheikhs and dignitaries of its tribes, confirmed to our agency the continuation of the struggle until the physical freedom of leader Abdullah Ocalan is achieved.
Najma al-Jamal from the people of Raqqa city explained: "We and our children are sacrifices for the homeland, and sacrifices for the leader, for he is a symbol of freedom, the homeland, and life."
She affirmed that: "The leader's message came as a source of strength for us, and we will continue to struggle until the leader's physical freedom is achieved."
The co-chair of the General People's Councils in Raqqa canton, Louay al-Issa: "We, the people of Raqqa city, live by the thought and philosophy of leader Abdullah Ocalan, and thanks to his thought, the Raqqa canton was liberated from the mercenaries of ISIS/Daesh."
Louay al-Issa explained: "What saddens us today is that leader Abdullah Ocalan is imprisoned, subjected to a system of torture and extermination by the Turkish occupation, visits are prohibited, and disciplinary punishments are imposed on him. This is what Turkey does to prevent meeting with the leader."
Louay al-Issa confirmed that the peoples of North and East Syria are struggling for the leader Abdullah Ocalan and for his physical freedom.
For his part, Sheikh Ramadan al-Rahhal, the chief of the al-Ali tribe (the Walda tribe), said: "We, the sheikhs and dignitaries of the tribes, demand the immediate release of leader Abdullah Ocalan and the end of the system of torture and extermination in Imrali prison. We will not be satisfied with just meeting leader Abdullah Ocalan; our main demand is for the leader to gain his freedom and return to his people and democratic nation."
For his part, Talal al-Sayabat, a notable of the al-Jaabat tribe, said: "The world is not unaware of the actions of the Turkish government and its barbaric regime, and all countries of the world are aware of what is happening inside Imrali prison, where there is a system of torture and extermination against detainees and political prisoners."
Talal al-Saybat explained: "The international community does not pay attention to these violations because the solution to all the problems in the Middle East lies in the thoughts and approach of leader Abdullah Ocalan. Therefore, they try as much as possible to isolate him from the world, so that capitalist countries can remain in control and benefit from all these conflicts."
For his part, al-Saybat confirmed: "We, the residents of North and East Syria, the sheikhs and dignitaries of the tribes, demand the lifting of the isolation and the immediate release of leader Abdullah Ocalan."
