Raqqa sheikhs confirm to support DAA, SDF in repelling Turkish attacks

Tribal elders of Raqqa canton confirmed that they will rally around the Autonomous Administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces against the Turkish attacks on North and East Syria.

Sheikh Hamad Al-Qaraja, the prominent figure of the Albu Assaf clan in Raqqa, said: “Our regions are subjected to a fierce attack that has affected all service facilities and infrastructure.”

Al-Qaraja stressed that they will protect the achievements made by the Autonomous Administration and the Syrian Democratic Forces in confronting the fascist Turkish state.

In a related context, the notable of the Bakara clan in Raqqa, Sheikh Farhan Haj, said, “We stand with our forces and our sons in the Syrian Democratic Forces,” calling on “all clans at home and abroad to stand with the Autonomous Administration to confront the Turkish attacks.”

In mid-January, the Turkish occupation state launched ground and air attacks that targeted dozens of oil sites, electricity stations, factories and mills in North and East Syria.
