Raqqa and Tabqa residents call on international forces to hold Turkish occupation accountable

Hundreds of Raqqa residents, including members of civil and military institutions, the Future Syria Party, the Zenobia Women's Gathering Council, the Democratic Union Party, as well as tribal elders and dignitaries, took part in a mass demonstration condemning Turkish state crimes in Kobani, Serrin, and Ain Issa.

The demonstrators gathered in front of Hevrin Park in southern Raqqa, carrying pictures of resistance martyrs at Tishrin Dam and banners documenting Turkish occupation crimes.

The march headed toward the old Raqqa Bridge, with participants waving SDF flags and the Syrian revolution flag while chanting slogans such as: "No to Turkish occupation," "Down with Turkish fascism," "Down with the tyrant Erdogan,""No to killing children,""Long live the Syrian Democratic Forces," and "Long live the Tishrin Dam resistance."

Upon reaching Kasrah Faraj Farm, the demonstrators observed a moment of silence. Jihad Hassan, Co-Chair of the Democratic Society Confederation, then delivered a speech condemning the occupation’s attacks and massacres against civilians.

He emphasized that "these crimes constitute a blatant violation of international law and their perpetrators must be held accountable."

Jihad Hassan also saluted "the resistance at Tishrin Dam and the heroic resilience of the Syrian Democratic Forces against these aggressions."

Following him, Kawthar Al-Kabaa, Co-Chair of the People's Council in the Andalus neighborhood, spoke about the importance of resistance and defending the homeland, which was liberated through the blood of martyrs.

She denounced the attacks targeting civilians in Kobani, Afrin, and Al-Karama, calling them a serious escalation against NE Syria.

The demonstration concluded with chants of "We are all SDF" and "Long live the Syrian Democratic Forces."

Tabqa

Similarly, the Martyrs' Families Council in Tabqa organized a mass demonstration today to denounce the massacres committed by the Turkish occupation.

Hundreds of residents, including displaced people from Afrin and Shahba, as well as representatives of the Autonomous Administration and its affiliated bodies and councils, the Future Syria Party Council, and the Zenobia Women's Gathering Council, participated in the march, which started from Martyr Hevrin Khalaf Park in the Third Neighborhood of Tabqa city center.

The demonstrators carried SDF flags and pictures of martyrs while chanting slogans praising the resistance and condemning Turkish occupation attacks.

Upon arriving at the Martyrs' Families Council in the city center, they observed a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs. Mahmoud Al-Sayel, Co-Chair of the Martyrs' Families Council, then addressed the crowd, stating that "the Turkish state continues its aggression against northern and eastern Syria in a series of heinous crimes against Syrians."

Al-Sayel highlighted the SDF's resistance in defending Tishrin Dam, describing it as a popular struggle epic.

Zenobia Women's Gathering Council member Nour Al-Hafni also condemned "the brutality and crimes of the Turkish occupation state" and urged international powers to end their unjustified silence and take measures to stop the aggression. She reaffirmed their support for the SDF as the protective shield against threats.

The demonstration concluded with the slogan: "Long live the resistance of the Syrian Democratic Forces."
