Qamishlo residents: It's time for Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue

The residents of Qamishlo city in al-Jazira canton called on political parties to strengthen Kurdish national unity and stay away from partisan interests in light of the recent situation in Syria.

The Kurdish people expressed their aspiration to hold a Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue to resolve pending issues and ensure the preservation of the gains achieved through the sacrifice of more than 12,000 martyrs.

In this context, citizen Kevara Issam said: "With the fall of Bashar al-Assad's regime, a dark phase in Syria's history has ended, as he ruled the country with an iron fist for decades, and the people suffered from marginalization, oppression, and divisions created by the regime to dismantle the national fabric."

He pointed out that "the current phase is witnessing the beginning of a new history and a rapid pace of events, which requires the Kurdish people to unite their ranks and stand as one to preserve the gains achieved thanks to the sacrifices of the martyrs."

He explained that "in light of the forces joining forces to overthrow the Bashar al-Assad regime, the Kurdish people must seize this opportunity to determine their fate."

He stressed that "unifying the Kurdish ranks in Syria has become a historical necessity imposed by the current challenges, and that there is strength in unity. If the Kurdish forces and parties join forces and present their projects in a unified manner, this will turn into a real force to present their demands to the new government."

Kevara Issam called on the political parties to "move away from narrow partisan interests and respond to popular calls calling for Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue".

He stressed "the importance of the unity of the Kurdish position, as today is the day of Kurdish unity, and it is a historical gain that must be exploited with all strength and defiance."

He pointed out that "the Kurdish people live on this land and have their political, historical and cultural rights, and must enjoy freedom and identity, and the gains that have been achieved came thanks to the sacrifices of the martyrs, as they faced many challenges over the course of 14 years. "

He called for "the necessity of unifying the Kurdish ranks to face the current challenges, and that this unity is the way to guarantee rights and gains."

Combined efforts and interaction to support the Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue

For his part, Abdo Othman pointed out that "the current stage requires combined efforts and positive interaction to support the Kurdish-Kurdish dialogue."

He stressed that "unifying the ranks is the duty of every patriot who is jealous of his family and his country, and the necessity of overcoming partisan differences and focusing on the common issues that concern the Kurdish people," noting that "unity is the way to achieve national goals."

He expressed his hope that "all Kurdish parties will sit at the dialogue table, and that this time is not the time for narrow partisan interests, but rather a decisive time to determine the fate of the Kurdish people."

Othman added that "supporting dialogue and participating in building the future Syria is the duty of everyone who cares about the interests of the Kurds."

It will determine the fate and existence of the Kurdish people

Citizen Issam Ibrahim said, "We are going through a sensitive phase that will determine the fate and existence of the Kurdish people, which requires everyone to put aside their differences to build unity."

He stressed the need to "stay away from partisan agendas, and that the fate of the Kurdish people will be determined through dialogue and understanding."

He added that "priority must be given to unity of ranks and building a Kurdish reference and unified discourse, warning against losing the historic opportunity that came after great sacrifices and efforts to protect the gains."

He pointed out that "this phase imposes the need to build unity of the Kurdish ranks to recognize their demands and rights, and that what the Turkish state is promoting that the Kurds are separatists is baseless."

Ibrahim explained that "the Kurdish people in Syria are an integral part of the country, and have never asked for secession from it, but rather seek a federal Syria."

He called on the new government "to reach understandings with the Kurds to build a country that forms a colorful mosaic," and warned that "if the Kurdish political movement continues to be divided and scattered, it will waste this opportunity."

He also called on political parties to "seize this opportunity to unite the Kurdish people in Syria and head to Damascus to negotiate and establish their rights, warning that remaining within the coalition will not achieve any rights for them."

The dream of our fathers and grandfathers

Berivan Mahmoud said that "the Kurds live in peace and love with all components of the region, and have a fabric of coexistence. However, there are some people who are trying to sow discord and division among them, which threatens to expel them from the new Syria without any gains, and leads to the demolition of the gains that have been achieved."

She stressed "the need for the Kurds to unite and unify their opinion to obtain their legitimate rights."

Berivan concluded by saying that "political parties must reflect on the sacrifices made by the martyrs and war wounded who fought for all components so that they could live in safety and peace, achieve their rights and speak their language."

She pointed out that this "is the dream of fathers and grandfathers, which calls for working on an initiative to unify the Kurdish ranks."

These calls come at a time when awareness of the importance of unity among Kurdish forces is growing to face current challenges. The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, stressed the need to achieve Kurdish national unity as a basic step to confront the current developments in the country, calling on all parties to move away from partisan interests and interact positively with the efforts to achieve unity.
