PYD calls on concerned parties to reveal the fate of Kurdish detainees in regime prisons

The Democratic Union Party published a statement on its official website, demanding the disclosure of the fate of Kurdish detainees and missing persons in regime prisons.

The statement confirmed that the party and its members were targeted by the Ba'ath regime and its security services since its founding until its last day, and many of them were martyred under torture, such as the martyrs "Ahmed Hussein, Othman Dadli", while the fate of thousands of detainees remains unknown.

The text of the statement was as follows:

"The Syrian people in general and the Kurdish people in particular have suffered from the policies of injustice and tyranny by the dictatorial Baathist regime and its repressive policies practiced by the regime and its security services, through the arrests of political activists who struggled for freedom and democracy, and were subjected to the most heinous means of torture and killing in prisons that turned into graves for opponents and freedom fighters.

Our party and its members were targeted by the regime and its security services since its founding until the last day of that regime's rule, through arbitrary prosecutions and arrests, and our party members were subjected to torture and repression, and many of them were martyred under torture, such as the martyr Ahmed Hussein Bafi Judi and Professor Othman Dadli, who were martyred in the regime's prisons as a result of brutal torture; and the fate of thousands of detainees remains unknown to this day, including our comrade "Naza Ahmed Kajal" who was arrested by the security services in Aleppo in 2004 by the Political Security Branch, which was Headed by Brigadier General "Nasser Al-Ali" at the time, who then moved to Daraa following our people's uprising against the oppressive and tyrannical policies of the regime, and to this day her fate remains unknown despite our previous demands to reveal her fate, without any response from the regime and its security services.

Therefore, we call on the concerned parties who are following up in Damascus the file of detainees and missing persons in the regime's prisons to cooperate in order to reveal the fate of our comrade Naza Ahmed Kajal, her mother Halima, date of birth 1975, and all the missing and detained Kurds, and all Syrians whose fate is still unknown.
