These protests come at a time when Syrians are suffering from a lack of basic services, reflecting the extent of public frustration with the performance of the relevant authorities and the lack of response to the demands of the population.

Meanwhile, the teachers' strike continues, causing a near-total paralysis of the education sector for the same reasons in several Syrian regions.
