Protests held in Jazira in support of Kurdish Flag

Public anger continues over the incident of desecrating the Kurdish flag, after it was shot at by a man identified as Hussein Abdul Qader al-Hasso. Two demonstrations were held in the cities of Çil Agha and Derik, emphasizing that the Kurdish flag represents the identity of the Kurdish people and that any attack on it is unacceptable. Protesters also called for the harshest penalties against those responsible.

In Çil Agha and surrounding villages in the Jazira Canton, residents held a car demonstration in protest against the incident. They stressed that such acts are unacceptable and represent an attempt to deny Kurdish existence, demanding that the perpetrator be held accountable.

The demonstration began from Martyr Masum Square, with participants chanting slogans in support of Kurds and their symbols, stressing that the Kurdish flag represents the dignity of the Kurdish people.

They also expressed appreciation for the Internal Security Forces for arresting the suspect and called for his prosecution.

In Derik, hundreds gathered at the Martyr Bawer Center for the Syrian Revolutionary Youth to take part in a car rally, decorating their vehicles with Kurdish flags. The convoy then moved toward the entrance of the city and toured its streets while raising the flags.
