Protest condemns Turkish attacks on sit-in participants at Tishrin Dam

Today, hundreds of residents from Amuda city and its villages, along with displaced people from Afrin and Shahba living in Amuda, participated in a mass demonstration denouncing the Turkish occupation’s attacks on Tishrin Dam.

The march began from the Free Woman Square and headed toward Martyr Jihad Square in the city center. Participants carried flags of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), pictures of the martyrs of Tishrin Dam, and olive branches while chanting slogans such as "Long live SDF resistance," "Martyrs are immortal," and "No to Turkish occupation."

Upon reaching Martyr Jihad Square, the demonstrators observed a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs. Then, Mara Zoro, a member of the Popular Initiative for the Freedom of Leader Abdullah Ocalan, delivered a speech condemning the Turkish occupation's targeting of protesters at Tishrin Dam and commemorating all martyrs.

She called on all communities, both men and women, to go to Tishrin Dam to support the Syrian Democratic Forces and join the dam’s defense efforts.

She also emphasized the need to escalate the struggle to achieve victory.

The demonstration concluded with chants of "Long live SDF resistance" and "Martyrs are immortal."
