Postponement of consultative forum on constitutional principles

Yesterday, the Syrian Democratic Council's media center published information about the postponement of its dialogue forum, which was scheduled for August 25.

The postponement of the forum came during a meeting held by the Council's Presidency in Raqqa, attended by co-chairs Layla Qaraman and Mahmoud Al-Muslat.

The Council affirmed its commitment to the success of the consultative forum on constitutional principles, considering it an important national event.

It noted that, based on our national responsibility, and in light of political developments at the local and regional levels, and the accompanying international balances affecting the Syrian scene, which require a more conducive environment for dialogue, the Council has decided to postpone the forum to a later date.

The Council affirmed that this decision reflects the SDC's commitment to create the best conditions for the success of the national dialogue and consolidating comprehensive constitutional principles, serving the path of a political solution and building a democratic, pluralistic, and decentralized Syria.

The Syrian Democratic Council was preparing to hold a consultative meeting in Raqqa on August 25, inviting politicians, activists, and representatives of various Syrian political parties and community organizations.
