Peoples' Democratic Council discusses draft law of administrative divisions

The draft law on administrative divisions for NE Syria was discussed in a special legal session of the Democratic People’s Council in the presence of the co-chair of the High Elections Commission, and it will be presented tomorrow for approval.

Today, the People's Democratic Council of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria held a legal session to discuss the draft law on the administrative divisions of the region.

The session, which was held in the building of the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, was attended by the Presidential Body of the Peoples’ Council in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, the Legal Committee of the Peoples’ Assembly, and the Co-Chair of the High Elections Commission, Rokn Mulla Ibrahim.

The draft law includes 5 articles, the most important of which are: “the administrative divisions of the region, the administrative divisions of each Canton mi, the divisions of major cities and towns within the Canton, and the creation of administrative units.”

The attendees discussed the five articles of the draft law, each article separately, and amendments were made to some items in the five articles in terms of terminology, legal aspect, density distribution, and others.

  The draft will be presented tomorrow to the People's Democratic Council in the presence of the Council's presidential body, the People's Councils in the 7 Cantons, and the High Elections Commission for approval.
