Attacks on Matina expanded with support of KDP

The Media Center of the People's Defense Forces (HPG) issued a statement regarding the attacks launched since April 16 in the Matina area in Southern Kurdistan, and explained that the attacks have entered a new phase with the support of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (PDK).

The text of the statement read:

"In the Metina area, the Turkish occupation army moved from Jarjila Hill to Shahid Delbrin Hill. On April 26, from 20:00 to 23:00, the Julka Resistance Area was subjected to bombardment from attack helicopters. Then from the Julka Resistance Area, the invaders were stationed on Martyr Azda Hill with Skorsky helicopters. At the same time digging machineries) was brought from the village of Kadesh, which is under the control of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, to the Jolka area.

The occupying Turkish army, with the support of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, wants to bring digging machineries and build roads and war tunnels to be stationed there. In the current situation, the Turkish occupation army is present on the Martyr's Hills (Hasan, Sorkhwin, Azda, and Delbrin) in the Gulka region. In this way, the occupation attack that began on April 16 in the Matina area with the support of the Kurdistan Democratic Party expanded and entered a new phase.

In the Heftanin area:

On April 26, Iraqi forces deployed in Birbila Hill between Šabaneki and Šranichi. At the same time, the occupying Turkish army entered the Shahid Kendal and Kishan fields and carried out movements there.

On April 27, from 08:00 to 09:00, our forces carried out an operation with heavy weapons on Amadiya Hill.
