In light of the Damascus forces and Tirkish occupation attacks on NE Syria,  the people of Raqqa organize themselves into groups with the neighborhood commune and the community protection forces to protect their neighborhoods from any external or internal attacks that attempt to destabilize their security and stability.

The community protection forces go out at night to monitor the neighborhoods and protect them.

The citizen Nisreen Ebo from the Al-Dariyah neighborhood, west of Raqqa city, said: “We go out at night in patrols to protect our neighborhood from thefts and any danger. We as women, have proven our ability to protect our neighborhoods and will not allow anyone to sabotage and destroy what we have built.

Ebo added: “We in the neighborhood’s protection committees will continue to protect our areas, and we send a message to all our people that we will be one hand to protect our homeland and our community, and we will not allow any enemy to enter our land. We, women, men and youth, affirm our steadfast position in support of the Syrian Democratic Forces to protect our areas.” while the citizen Muhammad al-Muhammad said: “We are now standing at the beginning of our neighborhood to protect it from vandals and thieves, and we are ready for any emergency that occurs in the area.”

He added: "We are here to protect the neighborhood and will continue to protect our areas and the safety of our people."

In turn, the young man Ahmed Al-Hussein from Al-Dariya neighborhood, said: "We are the community protection forces. We run patrols and set up checkpoints to protect the residents and ensure their safety. This is our land and we are ready to defend it."

Al-Hussein called for the necessity of standing together to protect their areas, neighborhoods and homes, and to be ready to defend them against any external or internal aggression.
