The Damascus government forces and its so-called "National Defense" continue to launch attacks from their points in the countryside of Al-Mayadeen, al-Bukamal, and the al-Ashara area, with artillery and heavy weapons, targeting towns such as Dhiban, al-Shahil, al-Tayana, Darnaj, al-Lattwa, Abu Hardoub, Abu Hamam, Gharanij, al-Basira, and their villages in the eastern countryside of Deir-ez-Zor canton.

The co-chairmanship of the Council of Democratic Peoples in the Democratic Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, Farid Atti, noted: "Recently, areas of North and East Syria have been shelled by the government of Damascus and the so-called National Defence, where they have shelled populated areas. As a result of this shelling, civilians have been killed in their homes, most of them children, women and the elderly."

Farid Atti asserted: "The attacks benefited only the agents of the Damascus government, and the largest beneficiary is the Turkish occupying occupation, where they coincided with the bombing of the areas of al-Shahba and Manbij by the Turkish occupying state."

Farid Atti explained: "We understand these attacks to be destabilizing security and stability, striking the infrastructure of the regions of the North and East of Syria to defeat the autonomous administration project, as well as the return and revival of ISIS mercenaries to the autonomous administration areas."

"We in the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria have one clear position and one clear project; a Syrian national project with distinction, our goal is to achieve security, stability, and a livelihood for the citizen."

He emphasized that: "our project involves all components; autonomous administration embraces all spectrums and all religious beliefs, and it works and strives to consolidate the principles of a democratic nation."

The solution to the crisis isn't done by force of arms.

Farid Atti stressed that the Syrian crisis was resolved by Syrians. The Syrians must dialogue with each other and sit at a single table to discuss all the devastation, destruction, killing, and displacement they had suffered; and how to rise from that reality. The solution to the crisis is not armed.

Farid Atti explained: "Our position, whether civilian or military, is clear. We are not fighting, but defending our regions. Self-defence is a legitimate right under international conventions.

The co-chairmanship of the Council of Democratic Peoples of North and East Syria, Farid Atti, stressed that attacks on the region would fail with the solidarity and cohesion of the people of North and East Syria and said: "We believe in the will and brotherhood of the peoples and in the struggle of the people to defeat anyone who tries to defeat our cause."
