Sick from Afrin who settled in al-Shahba spoke to ANHA agency about their suffering from the repercussions of the stifling siege.

Forcibly displaced from Afrin, Zalukh Muhammad, who suffers from diabetes and high blood pressure, said: “I currently live in Sardam camp. I suffer from diabetes and high blood pressure. I wash my kidneys, but there is no medicine in the hospital due to the siege of the Damascus government. We are facing many difficulties: I have to check my sugar levels once or twice a week, but there is no device to measure sugar at the Kurdish Red Crescent center. There is no hospital either. These difficulties are all the result of the siege.”

Zalukh Muhammad stressed that their resistance continues, and the siege of the Damascus government will not weaken their will. She said: “Our resistance is stronger than the siege of the Damascus government. The siege cannot defeat our will and resistance.”

The mother of the sick girl, Jihan Minin, also said: “Because of the Damascus government’s siege on al-Shahba, the greatest danger falls on patients. This child has suffered from a health problem since her birth, and needs oxygen, especially at this time. But it is not available here, and it is very expensive if it were available.” "We resist in the tents," she explained.
