Over 60 students graduate from Kobani University

Kobani University held a ceremony today under the slogan "Knowledge is the Self, and the Self is Existence," celebrating the graduation of over 60 students from the first class of undergraduate students working in the Autonomous Administration institutions. These students graduated from the English Language and Literature Department and the Faculty of Law for the 2025-2026 academic year, in addition to graduates from the Kurdish Language and Literature Department.

The students began their activities by visiting the Martyr Dijla Shrine, where they stood a minute of silence in honor of the martyrs, laid flowers on their graves, and sang the national anthem, "Hey, Reqîb."

Afterward, the students proceeded to Kobani University, where the graduation ceremony was held in the university auditorium, attended by professors, students, and the graduates' families.

At the beginning of the ceremony, the attendees stood a minute of silence. Then, the co-chair of Kobani University, Sharfan Muslim, delivered a speech welcoming the attendees, saying, "Two years ago, we provided an opportunity for those who were unable to complete their studies, especially those working in the institutions of the Autonomous Administration, to finish their education. We congratulate all the graduates, their families, and the teaching staff."

For her part, the Dean of the Faculty of Arts at Kobani University, Suzan Qasim, noted the efforts the students had made over the years to acquire knowledge and enhance their academic level, adding: "The city of Kobani has always been a symbol of success, as it has lived amidst resistance and struggle since the beginning of the revolution until today. We congratulate all the students on their graduation, and we are very happy on this occasion. We wish them continued success, and we affirm our commitment to continuing to teach our language."

At the end of the ceremony, certificates were distributed to the graduates, and the event concluded with traditional Dabke dances in front of the university building.
