Mazloum Abdi, Ilham Ahmed meet with a delegation from the Committee of Displaced Persons of Serêkaniyê 

The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, and the Co-Chair of the Department of Foreign Relations, Ilham Ahmed, met with a large delegation from the Committee of Displaced Persons from Serêkaniyê to discuss the latest developments concerning the displaced persons file and ways to facilitate their return in accordance with the January 29 agreement.

The meeting addressed the general situation in the city of Serêkaniyê and its surrounding countryside, the current conditions of displaced persons, and mechanisms for organizing a coordinated return after receiving a comprehensive briefing on the situation in the region, the displaced population, and the demands of the committee members.

The Commander-in-Chief of the Syrian Democratic Forces, Mazloum Abdi, affirmed that the issue of displaced persons is a top priority for them in all their meetings with all parties, and that work is ongoing to ensure the safe and dignified return of residents without any risks.

The attendees emphasized the need to intensify coordination and joint efforts to expedite the return process, agreeing to maintain communication and establish a preliminary timetable linked to developments on the ground.
