Only electricity generation facility in entire NE Syria destroyed

Today, the Energy Office in Jazera Canton in NE Syria issued a statement regarding the recent Turkish attacks on the oil and service facility, which read: “We inform you, with regret, that the electricity generation facility in Al-Swaydiya was targeted by warplanes of the Turkish occupation forces and with /9/ concentrated strikes, on each of the gas turbines belonging to the General Electricity Corporation, as well as the gas turbines belonging to the Rimailan Oil Company.

In addition to all power transformers and power conversion yards, the destruction rate in this Syrian facility, the only one in the geography of the NE Syria, reached 100% and it was completely out of service.

We in the Energy Office in Jazera Canton condemn and denounce this cowardly and barbaric act, as there are no words to express the extent of the brutality of this heinous crime against this facility, and that it is one of the greatest war crimes against people who struggled and sacrificed to end ISIS terrorism supported by Turkey.

We also condemn the international silence towards the barbaric Turkish attacks on all sources of livelihood and life for 5 million Syrians, residing in this Syrian geography, and we also hold both the Russian guarantor and the international coalition forces and those present in this geography responsible for all this destruction of the service infrastructure and national facilities.”
