An explosion in a market in the city of Antalya, Turkey, resulted in one death and several injuries, according to preliminary reports. Authorities stated that investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the explosion.

Turkish media reported an explosion of unknown origin in the Demre district of Antalya province, causing injuries that were treated at hospitals.

According to the same sources, Demre Mayor, Fakhri Duran, said: "We have one dead and three injured," noting that the cause of the explosion is still unknown. The blast occurred in the warehouse section of the market.

Meanwhile, Neferat Akcan, head of the Wholesale Brokers Association, mentioned the incident happened during a work shift, the cause is unclear, and efforts are ongoing to uncover the reasons. He confirmed at least one fatality.

The explosion took place in the wholesale market in the Demre area, with the cause still unknown according to local authorities. Medical and rescue teams were sent to the scene, along with investigation teams to begin determining the cause of the blast.
