Notables slam Turkish attacks, international inaction
Arab tribal notables from Jazera Canton in NE Syria denounced the Turkish occupation attacks on the region and the international silence regarding them, stressing the importance of resistance.
The Turkish occupation and its mercenaries intensified their attacks on NE Syria during the past 48 hours, especially the villages of the countryside of Manbij, Afrin, Shahba, and Jazera Canton, which resulted in injuries among citizens and material damage.
The notable of the Al-Sada Al-Tufahiyin clan, Dahham Al-Khalaf, in Al-Hol, said “The goal of these attacks is to thwart the project of the democratic nation, and to revive the malicious Ottomanism through killing and displacement, destabilizing the security and stability of the region, and spreading strife among its components, but their attempts will fail due to will of the people of the region.”
He stressed, "We, the elders of the region's tribes, condemn these attacks and the shameful silence of international powers."
For his part, one of the notables of the city of Al-Hol, Hamid Al-Rajab, said: “We denounce the attacks of the Turkish occupation state on our regions.” He stressed, "We will not surrender to the Turkish occupation, and we will remain on our land."
Shayeb Abdullah Al-Kamar, one of the notables of the Bakara tribe, also slammed the Turkish occupation attacks on civilians, children and women.
