Yesterday, Israeli forces backed by vehicles and soldiers penetrated the town of Jamla in the Yarmouk Basin area in the western countryside of Daraa, and carried out a raid on a number of houses amid military movements in the area.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said that "the mosques of the city of Tafas witnessed calls for mobilization and alert, with a large gathering of militants in the city in preparation for any escalation."

This move comes within a series of measures implemented by Israeli forces in the area, amid anticipation of any possible field developments.

In a related context, the Observatory monitored two days ago the incursion of an Israeli force into the road between the towns of Jabata al-Khashab and Ofania in the northern Quneitra countryside.

The forces set up a military checkpoint in the village of Ruwaihina in the Quneitra countryside, with the deployment of military vehicles accompanied by a number of soldiers.

The checkpoint witnessed thorough inspections of vehicles and checking the identities of passersby, in addition to interrogating some citizens.
