New Israeli incursion in Quneitra countryside

In a new breach of international understandings and with no official comment from the Damascus authorities, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported today that an Israeli military force has entered the central countryside of Quneitra.

According to the Observatory, the force—consisting of five military vehicles—entered the Abu Qubeis area, which belongs to the town of Kodna, without any direct contact with civilians. However, the incursion stirred tension and anger among local residents.

This incursion is part of a series of repeated Israeli military movements in the border region, which has recently witnessed a notable increase in violations. These developments are raising fears of a potential escalation that could affect the stability of civilian life and their daily activities.

The Observatory also documented yesterday the entry of another Israeli force, composed of seven military vehicles, into the outskirts of the village of Majdaliya in the same area—a recurring scenario that raises questions about the future of tensions in this sensitive region.
