New appointments approved in AANES structure

The Democratic Peoples' Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria held its 110th regular session today, Thursday, to discuss amendments to some articles of the Customs Law and vote on several proposals submitted by the Executive Council.

The session was attended by the Presidential Body of the Democratic Peoples' Council, Hassan Kocher, advisor to the Democratic Peoples' Council of the Autonomous Administration of North and East Syria, representatives of the Finance Body and the General Customs Administration of the Autonomous Administration, and members of the Democratic Peoples' Council from the seven regions.

During the session, the members of the Democratic Peoples' Council unanimously approved the proposals to appoint Samira Al-Ahmad as Co-Chair of the Defense Body, Haya Thamer Khayyes as Co-Chair of the Finance Body, and Nourshan Mohammed Hussein and Zeidan Al-Asi as Co-Chairs of the Diplomatic Relations Council. Additionally, Nawar Munir Meloos was appointed as the representative of the Syriac component in the High Electoral Commission. The appointees took the oath during the session.

The Democratic Peoples' Council continues its session to discuss and approve amendments to the Customs Law.
