Damascus government forces comment on military developments in countryside of Aleppo and Idlib

The General Command of the Damascus government forces spoke in a statement about the attack it is being subjected to by the Turkish occupation mercenaries in the countryside of Aleppo and Idlib.

It stated in a statement, “The armed terrorist organizations under the so-called “Al-Nusra Front” (the former name of Tahrir Al-Sham mercenaries currently), present in the countryside of Aleppo and Idlib, launched a major attack on a wide front on the morning of Wednesday, 11/27/2024, with large numbers of terrorists and using weapons. "Medium and heavy weapons target safe villages and towns and our military points in those areas."

It continued: "Our armed forces have responded to the terrorist attack, which is still ongoing, and the attacking terrorist organizations have inflicted heavy losses in equipment and lives. Our forces are confronting the terrorist organizations with various means of fire and in cooperation with friendly forces."

The recent military developments between the Damascus government forces and the Turkish occupation mercenaries are the first of their kind since March 2020, when Russia, which supports Bashar al-Assad, and Turkey, which supports mercenary groups, agreed on ceasefire, with penetrations continuing on an almost daily basis on several axes of the region.
