National reconciliation is the key to Syria's stability

Community figures spoke about the importance of civil peace in building Syria and its role in achieving stability and development. In this context, ANHA agency conducted interviews with several community figures to discuss the significance of civil peace.

One of the members of the Mili Agha tribe, Abdul Wahab Khadr Agha, confirmed that civil peace is one of the most essential necessities of the current stage, especially in light of the growing conflicts among the components of society. He stated that the solution lies in peaceful dialog and the intervention of community elites to reduce the intensity of the conflict, and in working diligently to establish peace and ensure that each party receives its rights.

Regarding the rise of hate speech, al-Agha explained that virtual communication platforms have become one of the most prominent factors fueling this discourse and deepening the societal divide.

He added, "Today we see a distorted language that considers democracy heresy and justifies exclusion, at a time when we need reconciliation the most." He called for adopting a language of dialog and understanding.

He said, "We are in a historical phase that requires us to draw inspiration from the past, where the people of the region lived in harmony, and to hold on to each other, because the current phase needs the voice of reason, especially after the great sacrifices made to reach a permanent solution."

For his part, writer Mishal Othman emphasized that societal cohesion is not achieved through war, but through dialog and the exchange of opinions, and the necessity of closing the pages of the past and moving toward building a nation based on coexistence.

Decentralization system

In turn, the history professor at the University of Rojava, Murshid Al-Youssef, pointed out that Syria is a society of multiple nationalities, cultures, and sects, which necessitates adopting a decentralized model that ensures the preservation of civil peace and the achievement of equality in rights.

 He warned that imposing a single national or religious identity as a reference in a diverse state could pose a real threat to the unity and stability of society.

Al-Youssef also described the Al-Hasakah Governorate as a "miniature Syria," and emphasized that the current phase requires advancing a peaceful discourse and working on improving the living conditions of citizens, and that hate speech only hinders the path to stability and development.
