The leadership of the National Guard Forces issued a statement today regarding the targeting of AlMajdal by forces affiliated with the Syrian Interim Government.

The statement said: “Terrorist forces of the Damascus government stationed in the western countryside targeted the town of AlMajdal this afternoon in two stages using two drones. Our forces managed to shoot down one of them, while the second fell near residential houses, causing a minor injury.

This attack comes as part of the almost daily violations of the ceasefire and the inability of those forces to adhere to any agreement with the guarantor states, which continuously puts the lives of civilians at risk." Our forces will continue confronting any violation as part of our duty to protect the people of the mountain from any threat.”
