Mourning in Jazera cities for soul of leader Noureddin Sofi

Most shops in all cities of Jazera canton were closed in mourning for the soul of the martyr Noureddin Sofi, whose body arrived today in the city of Qamishli.

The funeral procession of the leader of the Rojava Revolution in North and East Syria, Noureddin Sofi, departed from Derik Hospital, accompanied by thousands of residents and relatives of the Jazera Canton, heading to the city of Qamishli for burial at the Martyr Delil Sarukhan Shrine after a ceremony.

Most shops in all cities of the Jazera Canton were closed in mourning for the martyred Noureddin Sofi, allowing everyone to participate in the final farewell ceremony attended by thousands of residents of North and East Syria.

The leader of the freedom revolution in Rojava and the people of North and East Syria, Noureddin Sofi, was martyred on April 6, 2021, while heading to the Kurdistan Mountains to visit his former comrades. He was killed in an enemy attack while visiting the headquarters of the People's Defense Forces (HPG).
