Meeting between DEM Party, MHP Party kicks off

The meeting between the delegation of the Equality and Democracy of Peoples Party (DEM) and the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) has kicked off in the Turkish Parliament.

Following the historic call made by leader Abdullah Ocalan, the Equality and Democracy of Peoples Party (DEM) has initiated a series of meetings with political parties. In this context, a delegation from the party held a meeting with the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP).

The meeting was held in the Turkish Parliament and included from the DEM Party delegation the party's co-chairs, Tulay Hatimogullari and Tuncer Bakirhan, the party's deputy parliamentary speaker, Sirri Sureyya Onder, and the party's parliamentary group leader, Gulistan Kiliç Koçyigit.

On behalf of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP), the DEM delegation was received by the party's deputy chairman, Semih Yalçin, the party's deputy chairman responsible for legal and electoral affairs, Feti Yildiz, and the party's deputy chairman, Ismail Faruk Aksu.

After exchanging greetings, the delegation moved to the meeting room to discuss the issues on the agenda.

A joint statement is expected to be issued after the meeting concludes.
