The official website of the Syrian Democratic Forces published a statement by the SDF Commander-in-Chief, Mazloum Abdi, in which he stressed that continuing the path of fighting is unacceptable, noting that efforts are underway with all parties to halt these attacks.

Abdi stated: “The continuation of the approach of fighting and the language of war to impose unilateral solutions is unacceptable, and it has previously led to massacres that amounted to war crimes on the Syrian coast and in Suwayda.”

He explained: “The deployment of tanks and artillery in the neighborhoods of Aleppo, the shelling of unarmed civilians and their displacement, and attempts to storm Kurdish neighborhoods during the negotiation process undermine the chances of reaching understandings, create conditions for dangerous demographic changes, and expose civilians trapped in the two neighborhoods to the risk of massacres.”

Abdi confirmed that the Syrian Democratic Forces have been working with all parties for days to stop these attacks, expressing his solidarity with the residents of the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods.
