Massive demonstrations in S. Kurdistan in support of Rojava resistance

People across Southern Kurdistan took to the streets in large-scale demonstrations supporting the Rojava resistance and emphasizing Kurdish unity.

In Sulaymaniyah, thousands of citizens from different social backgrounds participated in rallies, waving the flags of South Kurdistan and chanting slogans such as “The Kurdish people are one” and “Long live Rojava’s resistance.” They stressed that defending the gains of Kurdish areas in Syria is a shared national responsibility.

In Kirkuk, large crowds from various city communities marched from multiple neighborhoods toward cultural centers, chanting solidarity slogans that emphasized a unified popular stance and rejection of attacks targeting the region.

Other areas including Sayid Sadiq, Koya, Ranya, Kermyan, and around Mount Qandil also witnessed large demonstrations, with citizens and activists expressing support for the resistance and stressing that borders cannot divide parts of Kurdistan. They called on the international community to intervene to stop the attacks and protect civilians.

Despite adverse weather conditions, participants continued their massive marches, sending messages to the international community to halt attacks and protect civilians, reiterating that defending the rights of the Kurdish people is a shared national duty.
