Luqman Ahmi stated that the committee is actively working towards announcing a document of unity and mutual understanding among Kurdish parties. This initiative responds to the popular demands expressed by the Kurdish masses during Newroz celebrations, where calls for Kurdish unity were widespread.

While it had been anticipated that the results of these discussions would be announced and a unity document signed during the Newroz holiday, Ahmi clarified that "efforts are still underway to convene a comprehensive conference that includes all Kurdish parties and results in a mutual understanding document."

He emphasized that this unity has been a longstanding demand of the Kurdish people in Rojava, Kurdistan, and across Europe, who took to the streets during Newroz for unified Kurdish ranks and collective efforts to achieve the rights of the Kurdish people in Syria.

Ahmi noted that the Kurdish National Council had requested a separate meeting with the Democratic Union Party (PYD) to address certain bilateral issues. It had originally been expected that a declaration of understanding would be made within the framework of the Kurdish National Conference. However, Ahmi remarked: "The Council’s recent statements suggest that they are not in favor of reaching an understanding through a comprehensive national conference."

He further stated that a formal invitation had been extended to the Kurdish National Council to join the conference, yet no response has been received to date. Ahmi underscored that "the conference must be inclusive of all Kurdish political parties, women’s committees, civil society organizations, and youth groups. It must serve as a direct response to the will and demands of the Kurdish people."

Luqman Ahmi reiterated that the anticipated Kurdish National Conference aims to produce a mutual understanding document focusing on the formation of a committee composed of Kurdish parties. This committee would be tasked with addressing the rights of the Kurdish people in the future Syrian constitution and working toward the establishment of a democratic, decentralized Syria for all Syrians. He affirmed that the preparatory committee remains committed to convening the conference as soon as possible.

It is worth noting that on March 19, the preparatory committee formally invited the Kurdish National Council to join the committee and participate in the conference, highlighting the importance of cooperation, setting aside differences, and realizing the aspirations of the Kurdish people in Rojava and Syria.
