Location and time of February 15 event in Dêrik

The People's Initiative in Dêrik, in the Jazera Canton, is organizing a mass event to call for Leader Abdullah Ocalan’s freedom and to denounce the international conspiracy against him.

The event will be held at the Martyr Hoker Center for the Revolutionary Youth of Syria in the city.

According to Hassan Hamza, a member of the preparatory committee of the People's Initiative, the event will begin at 12:00 PM, and residents of Dêrik, as well as the villages of Berav and Kojarat, are expected to join.

Hassan Hamza emphasized, "February 15, known as the 'Black Day' for the Kurdish people, should become a day of freedom and peace."

In the Jazera Canton, on the 26th anniversary of the international conspiracy that took place on February 15, 1999, against Leader Abdullah Ocalan, mass events will be organized on February 15 in the cities of Dêrik, Girkê Legê, Qamishlo, and Hasaka to demand his immediate release.

Preparations for these marches, which began more than a week ago in all villages, towns, and cities, have been completed, with residents expressing their readiness to participate.
