List of officials, politicians who received educational privileges at Idlib University

Activists circulated a photo containing a list of officials who were granted academic privileges within postgraduate programs at Idlib University, in a case that has once again highlighted the standards of integrity and transparency within educational institutions affiliated with the Interim Government.

Local pages circulated information about Idlib University, indicating that exceptional privileges were granted to a number of officials in the Master of Political Science program, sparking widespread controversy regarding the integrity of the educational process within the university.

According to what was mentioned, a list includes a number of figures holding administrative and political positions who were able to bypass the preparatory year in the program, including former ministers, officials in local administrations, and members of the diplomatic corps.

The list of names included officials from various sectors, including local administration, political affairs, and diplomacy, as well as military and security figures. This led activists to consider the appointments "favoritism based on influence" rather than academic merit.

The activists also pointed out that the same university had previously awarded a doctorate to an individual affiliated with its governing body, further fueling the criticism.

Meanwhile, no official comment has yet been issued by the administration of Idlib University or any relevant authorities regarding the matter.
