According to the official news agency IRNA, the reports suggesting a new round of talks in Islamabad are “incorrect,” stressing that the negotiation process continues to face obstacles hindering progress.

The agency stated that “excessive U.S. demands, unrealistic conditions, frequent shifts in positions and contradictory statements, in addition to the continuation of what it describes as a ‘naval blockade’ in violation of the ceasefire understanding, as well as a threatening rhetoric, have all impeded progress in the negotiations so far.”

It added that “under these circumstances, there are no clear prospects for achieving tangible results.”

IRNA also accused the United States of promoting “media narratives” as part of what it described as a “blame game,” aimed at increasing pressure on Iran.
