Leader Abdullah Ocalan's message on the occasion of March 8.. Call for a renaissance for women

Leader Abdullah Ocalan sent a message to women with a delegation from Imrali on the occasion of International Women's Day on March 8.

The text of the message was as follows:

"My first compass is a virtuous and epic life with you.

I am aware of the fact that you live the truth of humanity in all its forms, the land of your existence and your essence, women of virtuous values. I have never given up a common life with you. The way of life has become the motive that makes me stand and continue. But the fact that the first beginning was majestic and free confirms that it will be majestic like the rest of the beginnings in Mesopotamia. Perhaps this happened, and the issue of women’s freedom still retains its importance. The democratic communist process is the new mode of socialization of the pioneer woman. Social truth can only be reached in this way. Social truth will not appear on the political, moral and religious levels unless the culture of rape or sexual assault is eliminated. As Marxism has proven, the success of socialism is not possible unless the culture of male domination that is deeply rooted in modern society is eliminated. The path to socialism passes through women’s freedom. Socialism cannot be achieved unless women’s freedom is achieved. There will be no socialism without democracy. My first experience with socialism was determined by the way I talked to a woman. A person who does not know how to talk to a woman cannot be Socialistically, a man's socialism depends on his relationship with a woman.

It is the sanctity of women, women themselves are the universe, and men are planets revolving around this universe, women are the ones who created language to communicate with children for the first time, and they are also the builders of culture and society, sanctity and divinity are also for women, and for women, the ideology of women’s liberation was put forward, which consists of four areas, and this is a theory. The culture of the pioneer woman dates back to the age of the gods, between 10,000 and 4,000 years BC. Monotheistic religions began in Babylon, and the Babylonian epic is the epic of women’s slavery. The Babylonian epic is one of the main pillars of the mythology of Mesopotamia. The culture of the woman began to decline and fail between 4,000 and 2,000 years BC. After the collapse of the pioneer woman culture, the queen woman appeared with the Mitanni, and Nefertiti is one of these queens. Queens in that period throughout history became housewives today. As you know, there is a culture and tradition called Sati. In the Sati culture, women were thrown into the fire and burned. They did this in 1832 as well, and then the English put an end to this culture.

The new renaissance is very important, and women should not be viewed biologically, but culturally, socially and historically, and as Simone de Beauvoir says; women are not women by birth but by existence, I am not against love and marriage, but many brutal crimes are committed in the name of love every day, how can a lover kill his beloved? This is not love, and many women have committed suicide because of this type of relationship so far, and on the other hand there is the culture of free women, and you are close to this culture, women try to go beyond the limits of motherhood and marriage, and yet, you barely manage only 10 percent of the free culture of women, the essential thing is that it should be with an approach of struggle, the social system dominated by men always creates problems for women, there is violence, there is occupation, there is incest, there is sexual assault, there is the possibility of killing female children, so what will you do if children are killed in the future? When I talk about the culture of Sati, I draw attention to this fact. You have to fight this culture and this mentality, and you have shortcomings and conflicts in this regard, and you must be free from it.

The women's issue is deeper than the Kurdish issue, there is a similar problem, and we have made a small start in this regard, the culture of war and conflict is mostly against women, and eliminating this culture is the driving force of our struggle, the spirit of this era is democratic politics, and the language of this era is the language of peace, the call of "peace and a free society" is also a renaissance for women, I salute the women who listen to my call, and believe in living together with the love of Mam and Zein, and the contemporary Dervish Afdi, and I congratulate you on International Women's Day (March 8).
