Lawyers of Imrali detainees submit new request to meet with them

Today, Muhammad Ocalan, the brother of the leader Abdullah Ocalan, his lawyer Mazloum Deng, and the brothers of the other detainees, Ali Kunar, the brother of Omar Hayri Kunar, Polat Yildirim, the brother of Hamili Yildirim, and Meliha Chetin, the sister of Weysi Aktaş, returned to submitting a request to the Republican Public Prosecutor’s Office in the Turkish city of Bursa and the Imrali Prison Directorate, in order to meet them.

The requests submitted by the lawyers and family of Leader Ocalan have been left pending without a response since March 2021.

Leader Ocalan's last contact with the outside world was on March 25, 2021, during a phone call with his brother Muhammad Ocalan, which lasted less than 5 minutes, then the call was cut off.

Leader Ocalan was arrested following an international conspiracy whose first threads began on October 9, 1998, when he left Syria heading to Moscow, to be arrested on February 15, 1999 in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, and handed over to the Turkish authorities.
