Launch of March 8 events program in Rojava, North and East Syria

The Joint Platform launched the International Women’s Day (March 8) events program under the slogan: “With the philosophy of ‘Woman, Life, Freedom,’ we protect the gains of the Women’s Revolution.”

The program was announced through an official statement read by Amina Omar, a member of the Women’s Council in North and East Syria, in the presence of representatives of women’s organizations and movements at the 12 March Stadium in the city of Qamishlo.

- The program includes the following activities:

- Organizing mass marches in support of the Kurdish language and demanding its constitutional recognition.

- A women’s march in support of the Women’s Protection Units (YPJ).

- Reading a special statement for the Women’s Literature and Art Festival.

- Marches on March 8 in support of women’s rights.

- A protest vigil featuring revolutionary songs and theatrical performances.

- Holding large-scale public meetings.

- Women’s marches in cities in support of the Women’s Revolution.

- A meeting of women’s movements and civil society organizations aimed at forming a feminist lobby.

- Online meetings discussing the gains of the Women’s Revolution.

- Launching a hashtag campaign across social media platforms.
