Kurdistan Free Life Party: Iranian State is responsible for life of our comrade Shahin

The Kurdistan Free Life Party (PJAK) issued a statement today regarding the capture of its member Mohsen Qadri (Comrade Shahin) by Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which read:

“We announce that our comrade Mohsen Qadri, known as Comrade Shahin, was captured on 22 June 2025 in the city of Baneh, while he was there on a party mission, during a premeditated ambush carried out by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. To date, we have received no information about our comrade’s fate. Following investigations, it has been confirmed that Comrade Shahin was captured.

The intelligence branch of the IRGC contacted Comrade Shahin’s family and presented them with a photo of a body along with some weapons and explosives, claiming that it was their son’s body. However, the family denied these claims and confirmed that the body was not that of their son.

Of course, these allegations are untrue, as it is not the body of Comrade Shahin, nor was he in possession of any weapons or explosives. Portraying Comrade Shahin as an armed fighter was deliberate. Our investigations have revealed that Comrade Shahin was captured alive by state forces and remains missing, with his fate still unknown.

We hold the Islamic Republic of Iran responsible for the life of our comrade Shahin. We are following this case with deep concern and call on human rights organizations and organizations concerned with political prisoners’ rights to investigate this case.”
