Kurdish Intellectuals in Tel Tamer: Kurdish unity is urgent necessity that cannot be delayed

The Kurdish political scene in Rojava has witnessed increasing momentum in recent weeks, with growing calls to revive the path toward Kurdish unity and overcome disputes among political parties that have shaped the political landscape for many years, despite the unity of the Kurdish people and their adoption of their legitimate rights.

In this context, ANHA correspondent conducted a series of interviews with several intellectuals in the city of Tel Tamer, who affirmed that the current stage cannot tolerate further fragmentation and that Kurdish unity has become an urgent demand.

Ibrahim Allo described the division among Kurdish parties as one of the most prominent weaknesses exploited by regional powers to undermine the political and administrative experience in the region.

He stressed that Kurdish unity should not remain confined to negotiation rooms between parties, but should instead become a popular demand, with cultural and social actors exerting pressure to achieve it.

He further emphasized that the threats surrounding the region make Kurdish unity an option that cannot be delayed, stating: “The gains achieved over years of sacrifice today require a unified position that protects the democratic experience and enhances security and stability in Rojava.”

For her part, Abeer Al-Younes, a member of the Union of Intellectuals in Tel Tamer, stressed that Kurdish forces are now called upon to transcend partisan disputes in favor of the public interest. She explained that the public has become more aware and determined to push toward genuine unity that reflects its aspirations.

She added that what the Kurds face today recalls historical moments in which they lost much due to the absence of a unified position, noting that the challenges facing Rojava cannot be confronted without unity of word and stance.

Meanwhile, Fawaz Ayo, a member of the Union of Intellectuals in the city, affirmed that the new generation has become more aware and determined to overcome the mistakes of the past. He said they aspire to a more stable future based on a unified political project across the four parts of Kurdistan.

He concluded by stating that history grants peoples limited opportunities, and that the success of this opportunity depends on the ability of Kurdish forces to overcome their differences and listen to the voice of the public, which clearly calls for unity in ranks and in word.
